Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has done a model for the World Models P-51 .60 2-stroke/.91 4-stroke? Specs below:
Wingspan: 64"
Wing Area: 755 sq. in.
Weight: 8lbs. 6 oz.
Length: 56.5"
Wing Loading: 25.6 oz/sq. ft.
Channels: 6 - 7 servos
I'm currently building one with an RCV 91-CD 4-stroke, but any model with a .91 4-stroke would be nice so that I can get a good idea of how it flies before doing it for real!
Cheers,
Ed

Moved to right forum.
You can take the "Reno Racer" posted on the swap pages and edit the physics to reflect this.
The colorscheme can also be easily adapted.
The Reno Racer is already very close, and only minor adjustments are needed.

Thanks for moving this thread opjose...
Ok, no probs changing the physics I guess. How do I modify the colour scheme? Is it possible to do it in Realflight or do I need to do it with an external editior?
Cheers,

There are colorschemes already done in the swap pages for both the P-51 and the Reno Racer.
The PTS scheme is available on the PTS thread for one.
You can also edit/create your own if you wish.
The easiest way to do this is to "save" and existing scheme with the plane loaded. When you go to save, select the name which you will use for your new target scheme for that plane.
This causes two things to occur...
G3 will create a .TGA file of the existing scheme.
e.g.
C:\Program Files\RealflightG3\Colorschemes\P-51 MyNewScheme.tga
C:\Program Files\RealflightG3\Colorschemes\P-51 MyNewScheme.colorscheme
It will also create a corresponding .colorscheme file.
The latter contains reflectivity and specular highlight information.
Drop out of G3 then go to the above folder and edit the "new" scheme using any .TGA compatible paint program such as Photoshop. The Gimp, etc.
Make your edits.
If you use layers in Photoshop make SURE you "Flatten VISIBLE" (VISIBLE not ALL)... then save, overwriting the original file.
You MUST save the file in exactly the same format, aspect and color bit depth as the original.... Danger Will Robinson!
That's it.
BTW: Schemes for the regular P-51 (the one with the drop tanks) can be interchanged with those for the "Reno Racer" w/o changes.
