hi there

i was interested in designing a plane but is there any 3d design programs out there for download for free, i'm currently in iraq for four month and was trying to fill the time, ireally dont wnat to spend several hundred dollars on a program and i might not like the whole design idea. thanks for your help.

designing a plane is hard. i would use anim8or or blender. i would ask a pro or print the manual to figure out how to make planes. i printed anim8ors manual and i now have to read over 100 pages on how to just start a plane. better luck to you my buddy :D

I suggest GMAX (http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax) its free and has a plane making tutorial. Plus if you get good at it you can switch right over to 3DSMax since they share the same interface. If you need any help you can try the Gmax Forums (http://www.gmaxforum.com/) they have plenty of plane building and texturing advice to check out.

it says that there is a pack that i have to buy to make planes. am i missing something? is the tutorial free and if so where do i get it? :cool:

i would suggest rhino 3d, you can get it for free and you don't have to do te hard work. www.rhino3d.com
