Anyone ever made a model of the Pitts "Double Take"? That is the Pitts bi-plane, that had landing gear on top of the wing, so it could take off and land upside down, or right side up.

To answer the question, Rick Delten put landing gear ot top of his Extra and I've been experimenting with it. So far, I don't know if it's a colision mesh issue, but if it isn't, it would be a G3 problem. Also, the G3 editor doesn't allow the "landing gear" to pivit to a full verticle. I had to invert retracts to get the wheels right for this. Anyways, here's a pic.

Evanator, I don't send planes out unless Rick has authorized it. That hasn't happened yet probably because the plane has problems. The biggest problem, IMO, is G3's limit here in LG pivot range. It's pretty sloppy. Also, it doesn't sit right inverted and the inverted ground handelling is poor. Since that's the main feature of this plane, it would be a major dissapointment for anyone. I wouldn't want a plane with my name on it to be out there if it has problems. I bet Rick feels the same. After all, his reputation is pretty darn good.
