Do you have any firewalls? My dad always puts them on the computer cause hes paranoid about spyware or whatever and they always block internet connection in games unless you disable them.

Nope im not online right now. But I did try for awhile. Yes I have a firewall its through systimatics but I have it set so Realflight runs interrupted. I called great planes customer support and the guy I talked to didnt have an answer for me. But maby if someone is going to be online at a certain time just let me know and ill see if I cant get multiplayer to work.

Ok tech support finally sent me a reply and guess what not info that would help me besides to say it should work lol. Here is what they sent me.
"The multiplayer function should be up and working. It may be a while for a lot of sessions are there and open."
Is it a posibility that they could give some advice or troubleshooting ideas. I spent 20 min on the phone and now I know that its supposed to work.

Some people around here have always had problems trying to figure out their firewalls.

so.. I'll take the indirect answer as a no.. nobody is sure if any are being hosted..

Multiplayer hosting works fine. The problem is most likely the ones who normally host haven't upgraded yet.

Sometimes there are multiplayer sessions running, and sometimes there are not. It sounds like your timing has just been unlucky. As I write this, there are 2 public sessions; one has 3 people in it.
RealFlight G4 was only recently released. There are G3 multiplayer sessions running basically at all hours of the day because the customer base is large enough to sustain that level of activity. G4 hasn't had time yet to reach that critical mass. I'm sure the number of available multiplayer sessions will increase over time.
Keep trying. :)

I've never run a firewall on my computer, and I have no problems... I haven't even gotten a virus in a looong time.
Of course, I don't do anything stupid either

You missed my point, madmonkey. His father (the owner of the computer) has the right to decide what spyware, firewall, etc is running on his pc. If you choose not to do that, you have that right as well. I don't believe the kid has the right to criticize his father for it.
