Am I correct that Futaba transmitters that have the rectangular 8 pin buddy box socket cannot be connected to the Interlink Elite ?

Yeah mine didn't come with the plug either, even though G3.5 did... Makes sense doesn't it?
On the plus side though, you should be able to get the adapter from your LHS (or towerhobbies) for under 10 bucks, assuming it actually works.
I assume that's Great Planes' decision to include the wrong trainer cord... they gave us the old one so that we can plug in radios that aren't as nice as the one included with the sim (or Hitecs), but not their own current radios... ???

This is taken from www.rcwings.com's description of G4.

"One micro-plug adapter for newer Futaba radios with square port"

What I got was a square port to 3.5mm mono male plug 6' cable which I presume plugs in the back of the interlink Elite controller.

and a 1' 3.5mm female to 6 pin round male.

Sounds like I am missingthe adapter or the product info is incorrect!

What a hassle as I need to use my radio with its expo. and mixing capability immediately for some indoor training I'm trying to do.

Yeah. Irritating isn't it?
KE, I assume we need to talk to Great Planes to fix this situation?

I'd call tech support! The cables came with mine.

There should be another square plug-to-headphone jack adapter. They didn't give it to me. You don't have it either. :)

Hey thanks for the information

I received G4 as a gift and wanted to use my controller, but it was missing that short cable that I needed.

I will be calling tech support in the morning
