OK this isn't realflight related but just shut up. I'm trying to get into helis from planes...and I was wondering what you guys think of the heli-max axe CP. It's on sale and I'm gonna buy it...unless it's a piece of crap........

I would recommend that you don't buy it. It is not a good heli for learning. If you want to fly something that small, go with the T_Rex 450. The T-Rex 450 is much more robust in crash. Parts are plentiful and cheap also.

Was that the most polite way you could think to start this thread?

Please take this elsewhere...there is a plethora of information on various real R/C forums. If it doesn't pertain to the simulator, it's doesn't belong here.

It WILL teach you the basics of heli orientation.
It will NOT teach you to fly a standard heli.
However it's fun to fly around the house... at least until you tire of it.

The Axe CP is a standard heli. It's much harder to fly than a T-Rex or something similar and is actually a great trainer because once you move up to something larger, it'll seem SUPER easy to fly.
Check out runryder dot com for good heli forums.
Come back and visit us when you get G4 :D
