I had to go for the Ascender, but if you can get the Gannett to fold it's wings like THAT then i'm sold!! :)

That's why I attached that picture.....it was very interesting. I'm pretty sure it could be done to work like that. I'd have to check with some of the "Editor Gurus" to be certain though.

yes, I think the poly limit will get out of control on the 111Z, that's why I haven't done anything with the one I was working on. didn't have the canopys done or anything and the polys were getting up there

But I still voted for the Sunderland.

Maybe if pplace doesn't end up making the Gannet I would definately be interested in picking up the project. A lot of the entries in here are very interesting planes. The Gannet is certainly the most interesting I've seen with the wings folding the way they do. Never seen it before

pplace any chance we could have the runner up aircraft be made after the winner?

I understand that I put up a Non descriptive French plane and voted for the Short Sunderland. If you think about it, Cowboy is making the Goose (water based) which is close to the Clipper and thats why I went for the Short Sunderland. Water and land based! Plus it is British!
It would be a sweet plane, especially for G4.
Think about it guy's.
I guess its to late to change votes though.

Thanks phrank.
Just to make it clear....a cast vote is a final vote. I don't and won't care if you "change your mind" I'd only go by the request with the highest actual votes anyways.
I'm planning on "announcing" the winner of the poll tomorrow evening.....say around 7 pm Central Time (Unless I happen to be away from my house.....which has been the case the last two evenings)

Well, stop posting countless off-topic threads and spamming, and maybe you'll get the respect you want!
I'll try,may need help getting there though.

Not random,as you can see the lager kid is trying to cheer up the bummed out ones as i'm doing.
pplace what type of size are we looking at? Maybe a 150-170 inch? Big is beautiful after all. :D

I personally like the look and size of 100" w.s. models in the sim (larger than most people fly in real life) but I feel the sim doesn't represent the "perspective" of the model sizes accurately.....thus needing to be a bit larger. (My opinion)
So with that being said the full scale clipper had a 152' w.s. (or 1,824") so a 1/18th scale will bring it to the 101.33" size.

Well as excellent as I thought the 3-view cad drawings were.......They do not fit together at all!! (top, side and front views.) Ugh I'll just have to get them "close" and fudge the whole time I'm modeling it.
Nobody's fault (not saying anything bad towards kmot......but maybe the person that made the cad drawings!haha)
