I have been very happy with G4.5 so I jumped right in and upgraded to G5. Now I am wondering was G5 just about multiplaying and not any other program improvements. So far that is what it looks to be. Any thoughts or further information? Yes I know a couple of models now can shoot. But shouldn't there have been more brand new models?

I can see your point. I think with a G4.5 you get the upgrade either for free or for alot less than the 3 or 3.5 folks. Depends on when you got the 4.5. Is there enough difference between those two? No idea. I happen to have the G3.5 version and so Im looking forward to the upgrade and have it on order.

New features: http://www.realflight.com/new/g5features.html
I was trying to find the page I've seen that spells out the new aircraft. I believe there's 7. And 3 new flying fields. Research G5, you'll find the information you seek. At the same time, I was not surprised at all that G5 was mainly about combat and multiplayer. Look at the first post about G5 in the News and Announcements subforum. The info was here for you.

Seriously though, the combat events work best in the 3D fields.
