each fly in the same multiplayer sessions? Are they compatible with each other?
Most of my friends are not going to go with g5 and i would like to but would like to still be able to fly with them.

Sessions are not campatible with each other. Even earlier versions of G5 are not compatible with later versions of G5. Interversion mp has never been possible in RF. Just keep 4.5 installed with G5, problem solved. Use G4.5 for flying with friends, and use G5 for combat.
