Was listening to the country countdown and the host; Kix Brooks of Brooks and Dunn said he was into RC airplanes. Said his wife asked him how much a certain destroyed model cost and that inspired him to get a sim. But the sim only ran on PCs so he needed another computer.

What are the chances he is using RealFlight? Would be really cool to see him on multi-player LOL.

Single handedly, Real Flight turns the tide back on Apple Computer. Steve Jobs runs and hides in fear of the Great Planes monster application hitting the Christmas market. Apple stock ready for an expected plunge on Monday opening... WII 4th quarter game sales not expected to meet analysts targets.

OK no PC-Apple thread crap, it was just a JOKE... Oh wait a minute, Country Western??? Never mind..

Did I miss anyone??? :D :D :D

Say what you will about Country; it is a genre that generally results in songs where every word in the lyrics can be clearly heard. So it consistently attracts some of the best songwriters.

Really; very few rock songs compete with the cleverness of a line like, "Then she dropped me in Denver- So I knew I had at least a mile to fall".

But about Kix... apparently he is doing it all on his own. From what he said the last model he wrecked was made of styrofoam so it was probably small and maybe lower performing but that is not a guarantee.

A remote control sim can help a lot and I don't regret a penny of what I spent on G4; but it doesn't give you the adreneline of knowing if things go wrong you could seriously hurt yourself; others or your wallet. Due to that adreneline coloring your reactions; a successfull first flight in a relatively high performance plane without a qualified instructor is still a very remote possibility.
