Aaargh. Foiled again. After many hours building the ultimate camera plane for G5, it won't upload...I got the dreaded error message. Works great in G5, though.

So, as in the past, I will post it here instead.

Based on Junkboy999's awesome Citabria Classic found here: http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=5829, I built this AV and CS for in-flight first person POV and filming. The AV is massively tweaked for aerobatic performance, the CS is an original and I have added a matched specular map, and the world's least detailed bump map. :D

The AV and CS are attached to this post, you can see it fly here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwUp7uu1e2s (Click "Watch in HD", lower right corner).

See the next post for the special details and camera controls.

Enjoy!

Woooot

I got some new Wall paper. May be we can get this worked out in the future. I do plan to update just this model for a G4 release to fix that glitch crease line on the cowl. I all so have a more to true scale fuselage

Even if it was out for G4 with the AV you made There would need to be a G5 based model for and G5 variants to b able to up load to the swaps.

But super work... Man that is one kool video .

Thanks Terry, but you guys did all of the hard work. It works great in G5 because you chose to have all of your controls animated, and the detailed cockpit was a bonus.

I'd love to see your take on a modern, high-performance American Champion Super D...

P.S. I threw in some new instruments, re-carpeted, and re-covered the seats. :D

To tell you the truth. That is the reason that the classic Citabria was under powered, slower, and had the Proper NACA Wing profile to match the Citabria. It was not suppose to be the Super Decathlon. Here is a link to a picture of the new Fuselage and Cowl.

And just a picture of the trio of planes together.

I completely understand that, she flew beautifully as a nice cabin cruiser, nothing wrong with that at all! She just happens to be a great candidate for a little virtual hot-rodding, too.

I love the looks of the new fuse, and those models look sweeeeet. Definately throw a Super D in the middle there, and that's a great looking family.

Good luck with the progression,

Hi, Griff-
Hey, this is very cool- and just the kind of plane I got G5 to fly with. Only one problem! I- as a total beginner, don't know how to add this into G5. I tried downloading the file, then open it using G5, it wouldn't do it... or I was doing something wrong. Can someone step me through incorporating this into my G5 please?
Thanks so much!
Wes
