Version 5.50.012 is now available as a public beta download. It has not yet been tested as thoroughly as 5.50.010, but it contains some fixes big enough to justify more immediate widespread testing and feedback.

This version is not compatible with 5.50.012 for multiplayer.

Perform the following steps to obtain the update (if you already have a prior G5.5 public beta version, skip steps 2-4): Start the RealFlight G5 Launcher
Click Additional Options, then Technical Support
Click Enter Tech Support Code
Enter the following code: B#8a4q8q454yxh (If successful, you will see a message saying "You are now registered to use the Public Beta site until the new version is posted to official download site.")
Go back to the main Launcher menu and click Registration/Updates
Make sure that in the bottom left corner it says Temporary Public Beta (PS). If not, try reentering the code
Click Update to Latest Version; alternatively, click Update to Specific Version, choose 5.50.012 from the list, and click OK.

The LauncherHelper will need to restart partway through this process. Answer "Yes" when it asks if you want to continue downloading the new version. When this process is finished, you will have the latest available version of RealFlight G5.

Eliminated significant hitching during aircraft contact with water
Multiplayer: Game lists always start over with the correct amount of time remaining and correct player scores; they do not lead to eventual crash
Multiplayer: Complex aircraft do not cause a crash
Multiplayer: Fixed an exploit that allowed other aircraft to be loaded in games
Multiplayer: UPnP setup occurs only the first time a join/host is attempted
Multiplayer: Host's thermal and turbulence settings are passed to clients
Multiplayer: Users you chose to hide remain hidden if they change vehicles
Sim continues executing while menus are active (new setting allows you to select the old behavior). Among other things, this allows games to continue functioning properly in MP while the host is in a menu.
Recordings: Aircraft pieces that break off are properly reattached when scrubbing back and forth during playback
Particles use significantly less video memory (especially helpful on lower end machines)
Rocket require less memory and have less impact on framerate
Bungee launch sound position is correct
Aircraft Editor: Smoke color is retained when copying and pasting a smoke component
Menu keyboard shortcuts work properly in fullscreen mode after alt-tabbing away from and back to RealFlight
Misc. UI improvements

Expo settings modified on many helis
General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper: Camera pod rotates and zooms (see aircraft description for details)
General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper: Rocket capacity is within allowable range
Griffin Combat VTOL (EP3): Props look and behave correctly
Thunder Tiger Innovator EXP: Fuselage falls to the ground normally if broken apart in midair
V-22 Osprey: Counterclockwise prop looks and behaves correctly

Bungee anchor objects are present in many more airports
Flight School HD: Transitions between runways are smoother

The heli autorotation trainer is inaccessible
