View Full Version : Reset trim tabs?

The sticky thread entitled 'Tuning Vehicles to Work in RF6' advises one to set all digital trim tabs on the Interlink to neutral before adjusting trim settings on models. Trouble is, there's no mention in the manual of how to do this. (At least none that I can find.) And I'd been wondering about this anyway; if you adjust a trim tab while flying a particular model, is that trim value persisted across sessions? Is the value stored somewhere? What clears it; does hitting 'Reset' on the controller and re-starting from the plane spawn point clear the current values? Does exiting and re-starting the program reset them?

If you set your trim for a particular model that trim setting will be saved across sessions but will not affect other models. If you would like a visual representation of the trim settings use the radio widget found in the left flyout menu. There is also an audible cue that the trim is in the center. I usually start there and count the clicks when trimming. Use the interlink to manually reset them and the next time you fly that model the trims will now reset and centered. To fix it reset all your trim adjustments restore defaults from the launcher screen.

If you have the newer Interlink, it has the digital trims.

Each time you press the trim up or down you hear a sound.

The "center" sound is different and distinctive.

Set the trims until you hear the "center" sound for all of them.

The program saves the trim settings for each model separately when you either exit or change models.

As far as you are concerned, set the trim as you like and the sim remembers what you left it set at for each particular model.... just like my real TX.

You can use the "resettrims" console command to reset all trims for the loaded aircraft. This may be a little less cumbersome than manually re-centering all of the trims with the Interlink.

Thanks very much, one and all.

And re console commands - are they listed in the manual anywhere? (I'm at work at the moment and don't have access to the pdf.)

Type Help in the console for a list of all of the commands.
