Hi & thanks for looking...

I have an Aeroworks 50cc Edge 540 in the orange/carbon scheme ready for flight this year and have not been able to find this color scheme for Realflight 6.

I want to know if there is an experienced CS creator out there who would undertake this job and how much it would cost.

I can, of course supply high resolution and accurate pictures of my plane for mapping.

Let me know.

Cheers

Goose

Cost? What is that supposed to mean? Your not going to actually pay anyone for making a G6 scheme are you??You could, but I'm sure there are alot of skilled schemers here on the fourm like Boof, Jeff, Flexible,Maj. and others who are not mentioned, that would be glad to make a scheme for you if they are free. You could also take time to try to make one yourself! That's a lot of fun when you get the hang of it. Anyways, the person who is doing this would require a 3-view of the aircraft with its scheme, it could be a cg image or actual one with decals if it has.

Thank you for volunteering me and the others, ghost. Don't do that. If someone is interested in helping him, let him speak for himself. I don't do CSs anyway.

For the OP, you mentioned the CS that you want but failed to note what model you want to put it on. Each 540 EA will be mapped differently, so that a CS for one will not likely work on another. This bit of info is also important to whoever is interested in taking on the task because it could have impact on how hard it will be to do the scheme (or if it is even possible).

As a side note, have you looked at Delten's 540? It must have 30 or so CSs that have been created for it. http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=573

I agree with Jeff about not volunteering people.

That aside, it may not be even possible depending on how the original was mapped and what the new color scheme requires.

Which Edge are you going to put that on, Andy? Don't put the cart before the horse.

I might not have the skills for this but it would be fun to try.

Making an AV to these specs should be easy if it doesn't already exist.

IMHO, V6Goose's only sin was to offer money. That makes it obvious to me that he doesn't understand the culture of the board, not that the culture of the board is anything to brag about. After that, ghost is just saying what a terrific and talented bunch of guys we are. I stayed away from the recent discussion of board behavior because other members did a good job of expressing my views. However, I believe we (a collective we) could be a friendlier bunch.

Having said that, I don't have any problems with the artist who contribute so much here setting their own personal guidelines for what would make them consider a request.

Thanks to all who replied and I apologize for any faux-pas I may have committed.

Andy: Correct, that is exactly the plane I have and would like to fly in RF. Mine's a little more customized but essentially I don't care.

I briefly looked at doing it myself but stopped once I saw the need for 3DS (which I don't have and haven't used for many years). A more in-depth search will probably reveal some options.

To answer the more general questions, I have not done much more than post here and a quick look at how it's done, I'm not overly lazy, simply pressed for time.

Thanks

Goose

To do a colorscheme, all you need is GIMP. It's free software. Any .tga editor will do.

Thanks Andy...

What aircraft is it based on? RF says I don't have it when trying to import.

Thanks a lot.

The models above were created in G5.5. They may need some editing to work right in G6.

V6Goose, The link below is to another 540 model that comes in the right size. I believe it would make a better base for your CS.

How the various 540 CS's are mapped is more than likely going to determine which model to base it upon (if any)
As I recall the 540 jeff modeled might just work

I tired the Jeffy/phrank Edge 540. It looks and flies great. I reduced the size to match the 50cc Edge 540 and changed some of the settings to make it fly like I think it should. Since I don't have any Edge 540 experience, I would like for some of you (phrank?) to try my variation and give me some feedback. I noticed that there are only 2 CS for this model but they are 2 of the best I have seen. Great work guys!!

I'm having my own little thread here. At least there is little or no bickering. :D

Absent any input from V6Goose, this is where I am at. Thought and comments are invited.

Is not!

Seriously, I'd probably move the side graphics down a bit to get them off of that panel line.

Andy, I noticed the side graphic/panel line issue too. I may revisit that.

Here is another pic - note that the pilot is named: Andy Digits. :D

I got a 7 rating on my 10ft/150cc AV of this plane. The guy that gave me the rating said the ailerons were too slow. I was thinking........B.S. Then I I checked his info as available on the forum.

Well, if it flies like yours and not his. That's his problem. ;)

Edit:
Actually, this one cracked me up the other day.
Rates 1 notch above average, and has the stones to request a model, which of course nice guy that Felix is complies. :D

LOL and stuff.....
