View Full Version : Can't install RFD to get to G2..HELP !!!
I have never been successful in installing Realflight on W2K on my previous system which was a Dell optiplex W2K. I ended up installig a second partition then to use RFD with Win98.
I just purchased a new system with the main goal to use RF with all the goodies(had a crappy video card before).
Starting the install for RFD, it start some action on the CD(like it used to) and then bombs out. No error, no anything. G2 won't install with a simple check for the CD(That would be a nice enhancement)..Now I am stuck without being able to use the program I purchased the new system for...?
Please Help !
Thanks in advance, Jim :(

Jim,
I take it that you purchased just the RF Deluxe? and then the G2 upgrade?
My RF Deluxe auto installed.
If yours doesn't, try going to your control panel then to the add/remove programs and try to install your RF Deluxe from there. I think there is paperwork that came with RFD that explains this. Did you check for patches that might help with the installation for your RFD?
What kind of system do you have? speed, processor,
3d card, ram, etc., etc..

Jim, If you don't have the latest upgrades for Realflight Deluxe.
Look to the left of this page in the purple blue area for (Features) click on (Search Site) then in the search site type in either ( patches for RealFlight Deluxe ) or ( Upgrades for RealFlight Deluxe ) in the search box.

PS, In the (Free Upgrade 1.1) section you will be able to access the ( download page ) for possible patches or upgrades that might help you with installing your RF Deluxe.

Thanks for the feedback.. I got past the problem the only way I knew how, took a spare 2 Gig drive, installed Win95, installed RFD, copied the Realflight folder over to my W2K drive and then ran the update....luckily the G2 upgrade doesn't check the registry, just for the files.
Now problem #2..Transmitter interface !!
