View Full Version : Computer controlled aircraft?

Is it possible to have computer controlled aircraft flying around at the same time as the user is flying his? It would be great to see one or two fixed wings, helis, etc flying around and having the challenge of avoiding (hitting?) them.
I don't mean multiplayer either - at least, not in the dial-up or LAN sense.

Recording your flights (Or downloading other's recordings) is probably the best way.

Thanks Scott - I know I'm being a bit thick, but how would that help? Surely then all I can do is sit back and watch a non-interactive recording, as opposed to flying with other computer controlled aircraft?

Well I know it's an old thread and maybe everyone has it all figured out already but the recording is not non-interactive. I actually flew 5 F-16's in formation (kind of!) replete with red, white, and blue smoke! Just record a flight, start a new flight and with your plane ready to take off, start the recording playback and record that
flight too. Repeat with other kinds of aircraft and there ya' go! (just watch that frequency control!) :D

I was going to post a new thread about this called "stupid sim tricks" :D
I recorded a texan in kate skin making low passes over the runway, then copied and renamed it 3 times. Then played them all back and spent 20 minutes chasing them around with a corsair. :D
Ok so I am easily entertained.
