Jeez, am I getting tired of this! Whenever I reboot my PIII 700MhZ system and run G2 for the first time after the reboot, I have to insert all 4 discs for RFD, RF G2 upgrade and the two add-on discs. This has only begun happening in the past couple of weeks, as it used to only require the RF G2 upgrade disc to run.
If this is a copy protection scheme - get over it fellas! RF is very much of a niche product and I really doubt many folks are out there clandestinely trying to copy it to pirate it.
It's a great program that's a lot of fun, but this "slot machine" disc swapping HAS GOT TO GO!

I'll second that motion. This disk swapping is a

Submit a bug at www.knifeedge.com. (http://www.knifeedge.com.) We are trying to fix this as it is not desired behavior.

I'll keep the board posted on progress of this issue. KE assured me this is NOT intentional.

Hi Troops,
Scott Kemp from Knife Edge called me today and asked whether the newest version of Real Flight G2 (V2.00.256) had stopped my disk swapping problems. I have booted into G2 about 10 times since then and have not been asked to insert another CD. Hope it works for you.

BTW, That's what I call *excellent* tech support :)

Well, after upgrading to 2.00.256, I only have to insert my add-on disc 1 in addition to my G2 upgrade disc whenever I start G2. I guess that's progress...

Gonna reboot and see what happens then.

So far the .256 version seems to have cured the disk swapping problem for me. :D
