I cannot install Realflight G2 upgrade. I have Realflight installed and it allows me to install G2 with no problem, but when I click the G2 icon on desktop it opens Realflight. In the realflight control panel it has my Realflight standard serial # and the top button is to install G2 and the next button is to run Realflight. It looks like it does not install G2 at all.

Thanks

Hey that's great Joe. I guess one of the nice things about this board is we get to learn from eachother. I don't suppose you'd like to tell us what the problem is/was. :)

Actually I've had the same problem the first time I tried to Install G2 Upgrade.

I was trying to install it in D:\Realflight ( same as where Classic was ). After getting all the messages that G2 was installed, it would only run Classic.

I deinstalled everything ( Classic and G2 ), then reinstalled everything in the default directory, and all was fine. I didn't install any patches or free-planes to Classic, this time, just used the original CD installation and immediatelly installed G2.

Not having that much space left on the C:\ drive, I uninstalled everything again, and reinstalled G2, this time in D:\Realflight, and didn't have any problems this time. I still don't know what I did wrong the first time... Maybe it didn't like having the 202 patche and not being installed in the default directory both at the same time...

I found out that if you have the latest patch for RFD, G2 will do a pretend install as mentioned above, the only way I could get it to install was to uninstall, reinstall RFD no patches, no addons, then install G2.

I have installed G2 about 20 times already in Win98se, ME, Win2000 trying to get the Online Update problem figured out, installed with/without patches, Addons, ect.....
Same results in all three OSs.
