I need to replace my s blaster16 with an upgrade.
Anyone have a good suggestion that you know works well. Not one of those hi dollar deals please. Have everything up to speed now and g2 is working fine except sound is sometimes choppy. Thanks

I like the Soundblaster Live! variety of soundcards... Maybe the X-Gamer 5.1 would give you good results.
I have a Soundblaster Live! Value, and never had any problems with it.

We like to use the Sound Blaster PCI 512 sound cards, as they are a full featured sound card, and can be found for a very reasonable price(typically somewhere between $30 and $50). If you are going to go for a LIVE! card, please do stay away from the 5.1 series, as there have been a few small problems with this card on some systems, of the LIVE series the x-gamer is an excellent choice.
Sincerely,
Evan
