Is it possible to turn off the irritating 'you get to pick up the sticks' sound dialog that randomly occurs when you crash? I find it EXTREMELY irritating!

Turning off the random sound f/x, etc doesn't seem to help.

Thanks,
Phil

Go to options-Music/sound and move the slider for random effects to never. That is what worked for me.

Thanks Scotty - I tried that and you still get the 'pick up sticks' speech sometimes after a crash.

It's extremely annoying.

I also find this comment very annoying. I do not
think that I would hear that at any field that I have been to.

As you commented, I also find the speech occurs even when random effects are set to never.

I really would like a way to shut just that comment off. The other random effects are fine.

Scott--Is there a way or do I need to get over it?

I'm glad someone agrees with me. :)

Here's hoping for a reply from Scott telling us how to get rid of that damned annoying bit of dialog.

I too find it irritating. I suspect that it's part of the crash sound recording. I've wondered about turning of crash sounds and seeing if that does it, but I don't want to give up all sound.

Turning off the crash sounds will take care of it.

We'll fix that, I agree. Originally when we did wrote that, it was only supposed to have that sound rarely. But as you know, it turns up more than it should! But you should at least be thankful we got rid of the original SIREN crash on the very early RF disks! :))

It would be interesting to hear some real sound files from crash participants, but if you wer yto record some of mine, you would have to rate this software Adult Only! :)

I had this same problem, until I upgraded to the latest version of the software. Since I've upgraded, I haven't heard that annoying comment. I do have random events set to Never, fyi
