Sensitivity of pistol grip controller

I am feeling like I constantly overcontrol the cars in Real Race. The sensitivity is just too much it seems in the simulator. Certainly, I can control my real life r/c cars with authority. But Real Race seems to me to be hyper-sensitive. Is there a way to tone this down? I know about the dual rate button but it is only a momentary switch on my setup.
