KB Mappings for switches

I just got G2, trying to use Hitec Focus 4 w/ transmitter interface. I can't control dual rates, gear, flaps, etc with keyboard keys. SW1-4 are mapped to hjkl keys as described in manual, & seem to work properly in config screen, but in flight mode, h toggles gadget display, j doesn't seem to do anything, k kills engine instead of raising gear, l brings up airfield selection screen. I must be missing something. Is there some way to map switches to keys that are not also defined as hot keys for kill, etc? :confused:

Bill,

Go to options then controller calibration. Click on advanced settings. Drop to the channel or switch you want to modify. You can change what switch or key controls it I think. Also look at options and keyboard mappings. You may be able to change something there. I use the controller box so am not sure at the moment how you do these with the interface and your radio. I hope you can do what you want from the information I've provided.

Scotty is right. If you are having problems with two functions using the same key. it is much easier to change the defaults in keyboard mapping to another available key. In keyboard mapping it allows you to see what keys are available.
