Hi :

- Im from southamerica, chile, and here buy the G2 from USA is about US$ 300 + 33% taxes so i have to be very clear with this ...

- I own a Intel Pentium III 450MHZ, 128 MB RAM, 15GB HDD and my video card its an ATI ALL IN WONDER PRO 32 MB (video card, accelerator and video capture device all in one) ...

- Im wondering if you can give me an idea if G2 will run flawless in my PC configuration, im specially worried about my ATI compatibility, i already wrote to GP guys but they answer like "maybe yes, maybe nopes" ... i knwo that with the Dave Brown 2001 simulator i will not have any troubles, they already confirmed that, but im more interested on RealFlight G2 ...}

- Opinnions about PC performance (my PC) for the game are more than welcome ...

From Chile - Southamerica ...

Thanks for any help ...undefined

Patricio,

I'm running a 750 Mhz Pentium III with 256M RAM and a PCI ATI All-in-wonder 128 w/ 32M and G2 runs well. There are a couple minor bugs that I believe have to do more with the ATI drivers not taking full advantage of DirectX 8.0, but for the most part, G2 works fine. There are definitely better video cards on the market than the AIW 128, but I like all the other features of the card, and it does OK with games and simulators.

Be sure you are using the LATEST All-in-wonder video drivers - ATI just posted a "special" driver last week that is supposed to fix many of the DirectX 8.0 issues, but I haven't had the chance to install it on my PC yet.

Half my Aircraft FAIL............I have noticed that ATI is not at the top of the video card list. I thought I was doing well with the RADEON however, my problem is that half the Planes freeze the system, i.e. 18 FLY - 18 FAIL they lock up during take off / roll out. Thinking ATI driver, DirectX 8 reinstall certainly the SB PCI512 is not the problem, Still locks with NO sound, Any thoughts???
