Combat Anyone?

How about adding combat to G2 Multiplayer? Should be do-able. Edit smoke and create a new type with different properties and then add collision function.

I second the combat idea, that was the first thing I thought of when I saw that G2 had multiplayer mode. Has anyone figured out how to do it?

There's nothing I would love more than to have even 2 simple BB guns mounted on the wings of my P-51 and see monokote and balsa shredding from the guy in front of me. Todays PC's have the power, it's just a matter of coding it in.

you would have to make it 2610 combat to be realistic. cut down the visual representation size of the model to 1/12 scale and have it as fast and maneuverable as a .26 size model with a 35' streamer then you've got it. if this can be dome, plus have a dedicated game server such as msn gaming zone, then count me in as well.

I don't know that you would need to do anything other than adding streamers then letting everyone go at it. Maybe it's just me but I think this could be kept very simple. After all, not all combat is scale, nor is it only certain engine sizes etc., rather... it's just going out & pitting your skills against someone elses. We would all have access to the same aircraft and could choose which we wanted.

I guess what I'm really saying is keep it simple and I'm in. Make it difficult, and I won't be because for me it's all about having fun. :p

Combat is a wonderful idea. How about some flying wings (with launch stands) in a future addon pack.
I do not believe that you can see smoke from other users in a multiplayer session, at least I have not noticed this. This would be a nice feature to have, but streamers would be ok as well.
Multi player is really fun, but you really need a high bandwidth connection. (cable or DSL) It would be nice if some parameters were added where the host could only allow a certain ping, as 1 dial up user can really mess up a multiplayer session for all the other users.

Use the search feature, or use digichat to find available online sessions. most can be found in the evening.
