I've had G2 running on my puter for a while. I recently consolidtate my mac and PC to a common display to save deskspace. I installed a simple AB Switch (KVM)only using the video portion of the KVM.
Anyway, my RFG2 USB doesn't launch now, the small splash screen comes up with about one second of the intro music and it stops and goes back to the desktop. This didn't happen until I connected the PC to the Sony 21" FD Trinitron through the AB Switch. Before it was running fine on a Dell 17" monitor. I had to use that monitor at my office so I don't have it to test.
The Sony is my big graphhics display, this is a very high end display that cost a few grand. The sim SHOULD work...
I reinstalled G2 three times. I re-installed XP Home over my original system, then re installed G2 and my video and audio drivers, still same problem.
Finally I just did a complete clean install of XP Home and loaded fresh nVidia drivers and running stock XP Direct X 8.1
Clean everything and it still goes the same thing, one second of music and the splash screen dissappears taking you back to the desktop.
I also connected the PC directly to the Sony monitor and reinstalled everything from scratch just to make sure the KVM siwtch didn't taint the changes.
I don't see what I'm missing, my game controller sees my USB link as an iController and I'm able to calibrate it, it readsboth joysticks and all switches and even the rotory knob on the newer transmitter.
I'm running XP Home on an Asus A7N8X NForce board, Athlon 2400+XP, 768mb RAM PC3200. 60GB Maxtor-ATA-133/ nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128mb video card. nVidia nForce Audio Codecs
BTW_ All my other games work fine, just RFG2 is the problem. I think the build is 2.00.533.
Any ideas? I've done everything I can think of.
Thanks,
