If you got problems like the one that I just spent 4 hours trying to figure out then it would be a wise thing to do would would be to check your drivers and PUT THAT VIRUS CHECKER AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON PAUSE. I should have and I wooda been ok.

But I didn't know that one of the programs running was a Norton virus alert or something or other and it corrupted the installation of the video driver.

That should not have made autocad not print, or scan disk not run, or my modem nor work, or my cd run verrryyy slllooooowwwwwllyyyy, or drive a: not recognised, or make my mouse jumpy, or make my disk f: go away (temporarily), but it did.

New rule: anyone trying to install while running virus checkers in the background and comming here to get us to fix it 1. looses flying privilages for 1 month, 2. has to mow the field while we fly and try to hit him, 3. supplies cokes for the next meeting, and last 4. reinstall for the next guy who comes along

I loved your post!!!!! Good idea, gives the offender practice shutting off their anti virus BEFORE installing ANYTHING!!!!!!!! but I did have 1 suggestion, Could we make them buy a round for everyone after we dive bomb the pants off him or her?

this is a great hobby, but still a hobby
