I Can think of only a few discussion boards that would be worse places to start some sort of OS holy wars then this one, and yet here we are. Marv, I would like to recommend you go to some newsgroups such as news.admin.physics.plasma, perhaps you will find people there who also don't have macs to charm with your witticisms about what you perceive the state of macintosh users.
However, please leave this thread alone, the adults are talking here.

There are a lot of compelling reasons to use macintosh, considering that it's now a flavor of UNIX, and uses industry standard apis almost wherever it can, such as OpenGL et al. I still don't think that knife edge would want to hire actual macintosh programmers, because for them it would be very hard to port due to the fact that they chose to use Microsoft's DirectX apis, otherwise known as their non-compatibility suite, but a handful of mac porting houses have made the effort to develop their own tools for porting programs that were originally written this way. Unfortunately, this does nothing for the networking, because DirectPlay is apparently completely impossible to make interoperable between mac and PC users.
This is not a huge problem, the networking aspects of RF are not that exciting, and there are tools to let mac users find each other to play on the internet and such.
Hopefully, when apple releases Mac OSX for intel/AMD hardware, some of you will take the time to give it a look. And RF could be ready to play on that target with little more then a re-compile.

Yes, everything is going away, Microsoft OSs will reign supreme, just ask anyone at slashdot.org or maybe redhat.com, they'll tell you all about it.
