View Full Version : Scheduled downtime for message boards
07-09-2004, 02:47 PM
We have scheduled some time this weekend to upgrade the discussion forum software. The boards will have to be taken down while that process takes place. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, and we'll try to keep the downtime to a minimum.

Since the change to the new disscussion board. I've been trying to change my avtar but when I go to edit, it does say edit avtar but I can't find anyway to change it any more unless there is a different way to do it now. Any idea's or suggestions?
PS: As of the time I posted this message, my avtar was still showing, but I'm going to try to play around with it, so if there is no avtar, brrb...... :(
Update: brrb..... :( , yup, lost the pic.... guess you folks disabled avtar :(

If there is such an illness as "Avtar Withdrawals" I've got it! :(

Hmmm... I just changed my own avatar successfully, and switched it back. You should just be able to just enter a new URL in the "Edit Avatar" screen, make sure "Use custom avatar" is selected, and click "Save Changes" when you're done. That screen doesn't show the URL of the current avatar, but as long as the picture shows up at the top of the screen, it's working.

I have to admit. I've never noticed the "Additional Options" and the "attach file" with the "manage attachments" that enables you to attach Pictures, etc. to a persons post which is available below the box where you type in your Tread messages or replys etc. Have I just been missing it or did you folks just add it? If its been here all this while, I can't believe I've never seen it before. I hope you folks just added it because I hate to think that I could miss something like that for such a long time! But in any case, very cool.
For anyone checking out the pictures below. Note that I took out almost everything that is originally included with that airport ( FunFly Airport ). Things like, telephone poles, trees, people, spectator bleachers, tables, static planes, safety fencing, a barn, hey bails, etc... And I also used a photo realistic background instead of the 3D background and I added the pylons.
Very cool Ryan,
aeee... the Avatar is working again, yee ha.....:)
