I really enjoy the G2 product and I have spent many hours flying in front of my PC. It has been a wonderful tool and prepared me well for flying my "real" model airplanes. While I would love to purchase G3, I would be purchasing it more because I am interested in the improved graphics and and new features.
For those who have put an investment in the G2 product, why not make the upgrade path more attractive for those who do not really need to upgrade the product? I am not alone with this question, many of my friends that I fly with at the local club share this same feeling. We want the G3 product but a gift certificate is not much of a "carrot" for upgrading!
