Whenever I start RealFlight G3 the screen resolution is automatically set to 1600 x 1200. I go into the settngs and chage it to 1024 x 768 with a refresh rate of 85Hz and the program properly sets that screen resolution as requested.

If I stop the program and then restart the resolution returns to 1600 x 1200.

Video Board is a ASUS V9980 Ultra 256MB with the latest ASUS Drivers Version 66.72

I spoke with tech support this morning about RealFlight G3 reverting back to 1600 x 1200 resolution evertime I started the program.

Observations (Full Screen Mode - ON):

Upon starting ReaFlight G3 the resolution would be 1600 x 1200 16 bit with a 85Hz refresh rate. I was able to change the resolution to 1024 x 768 with a 85Hz refresh rate in FULL Screen Mode. If I exited RealFlight G3 the program would revert back to 1600 x 1200 16 bit. You could tell this by watching the loading screen of RealFlight G3, the aircraft loading display would be 1024 x 768 and the terrain loading display would switch to 1600 x 1200.

Observations (Full Screen Mode - OFF):

Upon starting ReaFlight G3 the resolution would be 1600 x 1200 16 bit with a 85Hz refresh rate. I was able to change the resolution to 1024 x 768 with a 85Hz refresh rate in FULL Screen Mode OFF. If I exited RealFlight G3 the program would restart in 1024 x 768 32 bit. You could tell this by watching the loading screen of RealFlight G3, the aircraft loading display would be 1024 x 768 and the terrain loading display would also be 1024 x 768.

If you then go into the RealFlight Settings it would indicate 1600 x 1200 with a 85Hz refresh rate which is incorrect.

Tech support is sending this to the developers as a potential bug report

Consider the bug received. We'll start work on this issue as soon as possible.

Robert,

Let me clear up a couple of things. If you are running G3 in windowed mode, it runs at the desktop resolution. Period.

When the sim first starts up, it is in windowed mode and runs at your regular desktop resolution. When it starts loading airport objects, it should switch over to full screen mode if that is the way you left it.

The Resolution and Refresh Rate setting in the Settings dialog do not reflect the actual resolution and refresh rate that is being used in windowed mode. They only show the values that would be used if you were in full screen mode.

I do see the issue about the full screen resolution not being saved when exiting the simulation. That is the bug that you are pointing out, right?
