Final recommendation, please

Looking for final recommendation.

I have a high-end workstaion running dual Xeon, 4GB DDR, and a 3DLabs Wildcat 4, ( http://www.3dlabs.com/products/product.asp?prod=270&page=1 ) video card that only supports up to DirectX 7.0.

Based on what I have read, it looks as though I must move to a DirectX9.0+ supported card - is this correct or is there a work-around ..?

We have not tested with that particular board. We can't say for sure that it won't work, but we don't recommend it. Even if that card did run G3, without support for at least the DirectX 8 feature set you would miss out on some features--notably, you wouldn't see any shadows--which would be a shame when the rest of your system is so powerful.
