Hi All,

I'm beginning to get the feeling that the Gee3 FSM program that I just bought is going to look better on the box it came in than on my computer....since I cannot get it to run. :(

I did the Beta updates.....have the latest video drivers installed.....and latest version 9c directX installed.....and she just won't load. How sad as I was really excited when the Fedex man delivered my Gee3 to my home....I thought to myself.....ALRIGHT!!!.....Now I can FINALLY enjoy this sim and tune up my flying skills. The only tuning I seem to be doing is on my keyboard while typing this post....and believe me....it's scary since I hunt n peck pretty good.;)

Ship to Shore.....Anyone out there have any ideas on how to get the Gee3 working....besides making the video card manufacturers richer?

OK....back to looking at my Gee3 box and wishing I was really using it.

HELP!!!

Without some specifics on the problem, it will be pretty difficult to help you out.

Does the sim install? Does it start up? What is the error that you are getting? What graphics card are you using?

Hi Travis,

My "other card"....the one that "was" in my PC is now returned to it's original box since it appears that it would have been the issue....in my opinion. For the records....it is an ATI All In Wonder Radeon AGP with 32 megs DDR memory. I bought it so I could capture my videos from my camera.

Since I now want to use the simulator I just went to Office Depot and bought an ATI Radeon 9200 AGP with 128 megs DDR memory and I can now use the Gee3 simulator. Naturally....since I just added the new card I have now lost my sound on my PC. I have a Soyo KT333 Dragon Plus M/B with on board 5.1 audio. It worked great with my other card. I imagine it's probably a driver issue.....something else to troubleshoot.

I fleel that this is part of the frustration. The upgrade to G3 is really $200 and the cost of a top of the line graphics card. Probably a minimum of $200.

"ANOTHER UPDATE"

I re-traced my steps after removing my :other video card" and I discovered that I had a loose cable end that powers the 5.1 audio. I plugged it in and started up the PC and "PRESTO"......I can hear music again! :)

I really feel sorry for people who have limited skills when working on PC's swapping out "this-for-that" as it can lead anywhere with problems. I do this for a living so I know what "surprises" can appear when tinkering with peripherals. A point to add here about swapping out components....be sure to re-check your work as it can sometimes be a simple thing that can be easily fixed.

By the way.....Office Depot was selling the ATI 9200 AGP 128 card for $99.00 with a $15.00 rebate. I think www.mwave.com had it for around $87.00 not including shipping.
