It's Christmas morning and I have successfully installed G3 on my Toshiba Centrino Laptop P4M 1.4 GHz. Before installation, I updated my video Driver. After install, I downloaded the most recent patch. After starting the sim, I calibrated the Interlink Controller and set the aircraft flight realism to highest. The sim ran great the first time I loaded it. There is still a little wierdness (bumping, hopping) when the plane is on the runway sometimes but it sure is great fun to be able to fly a great selection of planes anytime I want. I didn't find it difficult to fly any of the planes I tried as configured at start-up. I'm a very pleased customer at this point, considering all of the negative feedback I have been seeing. I'm sure the quick patches helped greatly (Thanks Knife Edge and the Beta Testers) and I'm glad I waited for things to be sorted out before install. Now I just have to wait for the helicopter update disk since I could never download it on my dial-up. Thanks again to everyone involved in the release of G3, especially the hardworking programmers and diligent users (customers).

That weirdness should go away once you've installed the helicopter update.

Travis,

Thanks for that bit of info. I was sure it would be fixed asap. Can I request the helicopter update disk online? I have already registered the software.
