Just bought G3 today and installed fine. Got the latest update installed too (now at 3.00.329). I downloaded the Heli Update and it wont go. It begins extracting and then stops halfway through (stopps on the "install shield self extracting at 32%). I am running windowsXP Pro, 1gb memory, SP2, P4 3.2 CPU, nothing running in the background. Here is the error message I get:

16 Bit Windows Subsystem

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is, but the solution is pretty simple. Copy the file C:\WINDOWS\REPAIR\AUTOEXEC.NT to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT and run the heli update installer again.

Hmmm, Okay. I uploaded a batch file that can do it for you. You can click the link (http://home.comcast.net/~travis_vitek/RealFlight_G3/repair.bat) and choose Run. You could also download and run it.

Doing the copy of the repair didnt work for me either. I was able to create my own autoexec.nt and config.nt and get things working with the correct commands in those. I did some more research and find that this is caused by some spyware. Deleting those two allows some spyware exclusive rights to some files. All fixed though and working great.
