Ok I'm broke and bored

Ok Guys,

I'm broke and bored. I'm thinking I would like to have a mini plane or Heli to fly around the house or outside in no wind. What you all recommend? Go easy on me!

I'll be the first(but probably not the last) to suggest the Airhogs Aero Ace biplane, jet, or sport for a mini plane, and the airhogs Havoc Heli for a mini helicopter. All are 2 channel, $30 at either TRU or Target(not all stores have them so you might need to search a bit) I have flown the bipe, jet, and heli and all fly extremely well. If you don't mind just throttle, left-right with thrust vectoring. If you want more info there are many threads at RCgroups about these models.

I like the Lama coax heli for ease of flight.

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/cocolama.htm

And the Honeybee FP for learning to fly "real" helis.

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/honeybee3.htm

Both are under $150. But I guess "broke" is a relative term.

folded paper can go a long way

may be you could wash windows at an intersection (Not very ilegal here in Australia) and then you could get the Coax heli or??

you could also do lawn work around the house. then you could get your parents to give you an alowance

may be you could sell some thing in significant (Teeth ??)(Wifes, jewlery, Wife??)

I hear in america you get money for trying different Experimental medications. (You might be in luck, being over the 50 mark and all). there should be a Polethera of medication for over 50s waiting to be tested. Hope Over 50's dosnt offend you. But you are over 50 so i shouldn't be scared

you could also try the art of vagabond. just a small place card with a pic of what it will be for

May be you could fein injury at a local mall. sue and get a packet

hehe

Just kidding.
if you are broke. then?? you cant buy. I only buy what i can afford, and win the rest from my LHS. (Or so my wife thinks )

Coax heli is 4 chanel and very good for its price. (If you can scratch up for one of these, it should be worth it. Just do reasearch on which is best. I hear Coco lama.

Good luck at the intersection.

Too dangerous. Sperm and Plasma are the best selling item you have that will not endanger yourself.

OK...back to topic...what is the best bang-for-buck 3D heli (electric) available?

The 3D helis in G3.5 are nice, but I'd like to try the real thing.

The HoneyBee looks nice, but doesn't trip-my-trigger at all. Looks like a nice trainer.

not so sure at his age hehe

Hay woolf, i know 50 aint old. hell. the #2 UA senior stuard is 78 and he helps me unload bags. (These are heavy bags for the older seniors that fly down to AU) I haven't seen him recently. And if you think that is good, just look at the #1 senior UA crew member. Hell, she fell asleep at a terminal before work, and when she woke up, she went home thinking she had Done her trip

So wolf; you still got a lot of kicks in you, that is why i am kicking you. just checking

PS. Hows the intersection working for you?

Remember; A cheep Controler is a Cheep controler. research on what the controler can do other than the CX2, functionality wise ?

You guys are great. Thanks for all the help and funny comments. All taken in fun.

HX,

Snagged 20 bucks washing windows and an offer from a prostitute. Had to decline though because I'm gonna check out the sperm bank. Heck I could use the extra quarter....hahahaha

Yes you are correct, in saying about it being a cheap controller, I was pointing out is it could be a possibility, my bad for saying the dx6, i see that the rec would be AR6100 (DSM2)and also the range factor being iffy. My point is I would if possible use it any way I could, rather than throwing it a way. I run a 4ft boat in my pond with a old 72mhz airplane radio, works fine, most would have pitched a radio like that , but that is how I am.
