Build request from Flight Engineer
Hey guys, Im not sure if this is the right place for this. Im a CSAR FE (flight engineer/ right window gunner) on HH60Gs for the USAF. I have looked high and low and cannot find a blackhawk/jaywhawk/pavehawk that works right with the new update. Does anyone have a link to one? The hawks fly fine right up until full collective. Then in just freaks out. Also if at all possible I was hoping to find one with a refueling probe. I would love to sit down some of our pilots with RF6 and take bets on them flying a pattern but I would mean a lot if it was a REAL HH60G and even better if it were a Moody AFB tail. Who do I need to send beer to to have one of these whipped up for us?

It is the right forum but the wrong thread. The correct thread is:
http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27848 Someone may be able to change the physics (AV) to fly more like you think it should. However, only the original author of a model can change the model itself. And creating a new model from scratch is a HUGE effort (a model can easily take 100+ hours of modeling, and 100+ hours to create the color scheme). Complicated models (and helicopters are generally in that category) can take more than that (I'm sure I am way way over that on my FE2b). On top of that, there are very few people here who do helicopter models. And they are generally very long term projects. The bottom line is that you might get someone to adjust the physics of an existing model. And you might get someone to make small adjustments to the color scheme of an existing model (such as putting on a different tail #). Making new color schemes is doable on an existing model. But you are going to need to hit the jackpot for someone to decide to do a model from scratch. There is simply no whipping these up. It would probably take someone well over a month of working on it full time. For that to happen, they have to REALLY want to make the model. But by all means but the request in the proper thread, and provide the information needed (detailed at the start of the thread). Last edited by Madratter; 06-12-2012 at 03:25 PM. |
