G2 keeps asking for the CD but won't run in XP

I apologize if this question has been answered a million times. I own a legit copy of G2 and addon #2. Yes, together they cost me $250 and I still want to use them. I have all the serial numbers but it will not load and run. It appears to load but when I try to play it asks for the upgrade CD, does not recognize it, when I click cancel out of frustration, it asks for the origional CD but it does not recognize that either. Then give me error messages and suggests I contact tech suppport which apparently is out of date?

Please advise on a know proper procedure to load G2 and update 2 on XP.

TIA,
Terry

Yes, it's terrible to answer your own post but here is what finally worked for me.
Turn off router to disable internet connection
Turn off all portions of AVG
Use realflight control panel to unistall completely]
Reboot computer
Install G2 leave controller unplugged, do not start RF
Install update 2
Reboot computer
Do not use control panel, start G2, asked for G2 CD to finish loading then asked for update 2 to finish loading
Plug in controller when G2 asked for it.
Play game
Reboot computer
Turn on AVG
Restart router
Reboot computer

Hope this helps someone, it would have saved me a lot of time.
