******RealRace G2 Problem......ERROR: E_FAIL******

I've had my RealRace G2 for about 2 weeks.....installed it, and it ran fine......I had no problems for a whole week of running the program.....I go back a couple of days later and try to run it again and when I click on my Icon to start the program, it gives me this ERROR Message.....

Error: E_FAIL
File: l:\kelib2a\DirectX\DXDireectInput.cpp
Line: 1084

....while playing the RealRace G2 music in the background.....it gives you the choice of "OK" or "CANCEL"......and by clicking either one of these options, it just ends the program.....

This Problem came out of nowhere....I was able to run everything in my program with no problem.....BUT....occasionally it would cause an error and shut down for no reason......once I started the program up again, it would run fine.....

Can anyone please help me with this problem and let me know what's wrong???

Thank You,

Billy McGaha--->T3GT

Have you tried contacting RealRace technical support? You can call 217-398-8970 or email them at rrsupport@duratrax.com. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend talking to them!

In the meantime, a couple of questions:

1) What version of DirectX do you have installed?

2) Has the number or type of controllers connected to your computer changed lately?

PROBLEM SOLVED....

Thanks for the advice Ryan...But...
...what can I say...another simple solution to an aggravating problem...My wife had to move the soundcard to another port because of some problems she was having with Yahoo Messenger and forgot to reinstall the sound software...once she did that, everything started to work again...I think this just get added to your fixit answers to check the video and sound cards...oh well...another one chocked up to the "Don't Do" experiences

Thanks again Guys
