Error initializing joystick interface - Error 5432

This error just started happening when I start G2. I get the following errors in order:

1. Failed to load driver, error2
2. Error initializing joystick interface
3. The application was unable to start. Error '5432'

I can hear the music, but it dies after the third error.

Obviously its something with the interface, but I have no idea what. Has anybody experienced this or heard of this error before?

Interface = Tx Parallel
DirectX 8.0 (4.08.00.0400)
OS = Windows 2000 sp2
RAM = 256
Video = NVIDIA RIVA TNT2

Well I didn’t really fix it. I just uninstalled and reinstalled G2, which got the program to start. However, the program didn’t see my transmitter! For some reason it added a LPT port (LPT2) to the controller type selection. I picked that and it worked. Go figure. Anyhow, I’m back to virtual crashing, err flying.
