Number two, the slightly lighter colored steering wheel looks better against the black dash panel, but as U.T. says, it is a hard choice (they both look great).

I'm not choosing as I like them standing out more thus the white. Most of you probably prefer they blend into the dash color more though. I MIGHT compromise a little and make mine off-white.

Thanks guys I appreciate your help minor details are important to me and I go through lots of tests till I find something that works the best. Having said that I went through it one more time this morning so here's a third picture to look at.

Here's what I did for the third picture. The steering wheel is 'darker' than the second picture but lighter than the first picture I also made the 'spokes' the same color as the steering wheel. Then I made the 'cap' in the center of the steering wheel a bit darker. So one more time if you please and I'll put all three pictures to compare.

The sequence of the pictures is like I created them 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

Thanks guys I agree the third picture is best to me too. It has a dark color but not so dark it blends in with the dashboard. And making the spokes the same color as the wheel makes it look better. And the darker center cap helped too.

Now for the But.

I just imported the latest Realflight Clipper in RF-X and it looks great but the cockpit has more shadows than RF-8 so a bit lighter steering wheel would probably be better for it. I think I'll play with it and see what I want to do. But probably the most I'd do is use the 3rd picture and lighten all the parts evenly just a bit, but not much. But I might not do anything and just tweak the cockpit after it's imported and leave it the way it is for release. Not many use RF-X and it looks great in RF-8.

i think i like the 3rd one , a thought on the wing loading i'm thinking it should be around the 42oz loading . with a little more aft CG , your probably not quite finished with the physics so you may adjust it yet

I had already done the same as well as moved it a bit lower. It skips a lot less on the water at full throttle this way until you pull back to take off.

Current CG setting: x=0,y=3.80,z=-.88

Thanks I'm sure the wing loading should be more but I don't know what I'll do with it.

I started working on some panel lines to add a bit more detail but I don't know if I'll keep going or not I kind of like it without them too

I did a bit more work on the Clipper this morning. I normally have a camera I call Cinema Cam that sits outside the plane and gives you a much closer view of the plane than the chase cam does and try to give it a you're flying 'with' the plane sort of view but I hadn't done that yet for the Clipper. I like to use that camera when I fly in RF-X to have a close-up fly in and out of scenery type of view. Anyway I added it this morning and tried it out in RF-X. So I guess I'm nearly finished now but I think I might tweak the physics a little more so I'll probably put off releasing it till next weekend.
