Yes sir, I thought that it was a suitable upgrade to my avatar. Much more appealing that my ugly mug shot.

Say, how'd you get that background behind the anyway? I could never get the camera positioned like that in RF.

csgill75, thanks for the comments. I agree that there is no aileron authority in the hover - you'll notice that the ailerons are not quite long enough to be influenced by the prop wash. I could have made the physics aileron different in length, but I decided to opt for a 100% realistic rendition out of the gate.

Skip has another set of wings in the works for his plane that do have longer ailerons that will interact with the prop wash.

I welcome anyone who wants to make modified AV's and share with the rest of us!

Kind regards,

Owen

if you are going for 100% realism i fully understand, you and Matt Wilson must have went to the same school. If I look at it like that, the real aircraft probably cant hover in one place either.

Larry did it in RF 5.5 somehow, you'll have to ask him.

Never mind. I'm pretty sure it was camera placement. It makes the plane look EPIC.

It can hover, but torque rolls due to 400 horses under the hood. I think Skip wants longer ailerons precisely to be able to counter that torque and do some real 3-D huckin'!!

Thanks again for the positive feedback!!

Aha! Good guess, but no...You can actually take that same shot in G4.5 using only default views...In fact it was shot in G5.5, but using a default camera...Chase view, you just have to experiment.

Also, thank you for all of the kind reviews. Personally, I can't stop flying it.

Smile Prometheus meets the Pitts Viper

Just wrapping up the Pitts Viper scheme applied to the Prometheus. A little color for the bird after so many months of staring at red, black, and white.

I will probably have it up on the swaps tonight.
