RealFlight 1.20.191 on VMWare running XP SP2

I'm coming back to modeling after 13 years, which is kinda hard but not as much as getting my old RealFlight working...

Has anybody tried getting RealFlight working over VMWare Player on Win XP SP2?

Using the RockFire USB converter I still get that "l:\kelib\directdraw\dxdirectinput.cpp" error but it is "line: 702".

It seems that the fix for this error has me updating all drivers as well as DirectX. Tried all that but I haven't seen a post where anyone tried VMWare (Perfect solution as my PC is newer, windows 7 64bit)

Anybody have any experience?

I've seen discussion of VMware here. I don't think there's been much luck. Those threads are still here.

Well the "Classic" version that I've got 1.20 doesn't work too well, but I'm not done experimenting, and I've got some other things that I can try. I'll be sure to post results in hopes that it helps somebody else. Thanks for the reply.

I know the trouble is the way the USB bus is handled. I don't know how to explain it, but that's where the trouble is. It doesn't go well with virtual Windows.
