Great Lakes Special

Recently Doug shared a picture with me of the RCM Great Lakes Special he scratch built many years ago. I always liked Bi-Planes with a swept wing so I told him I'd model it for him. We've been working on it for a little while but I haven't created a build thread for it. But it looks like today's a good day to announce a Bi-Plane on the forum so here's a render to start the build thread. I have it flying in RF and am finishing up all the little details before I map it.

No problem they'll be both. Wheels first then floats.

Why not amphibious floats with wheels.

I thought about that but then people like me that almost always fly wheels has the floats to deal with, it's better separate.

You do know that they make floats with hydraulic wheel lifts that can land on water and terra firma? Those would be cool. I have even seen pilots takeoff on floats from trailers towed by a truck down the runway.

Technoid never sleeps... alley cat. 5hrs sleep??? burn baby burn
