I see some hardware info, but no benchmark numbers.

OOPS, I missed the link. How does RF-X's fps compare to Heaven? 2:1? I think we're trying to figure out if Heaven will let us know whether our video cards are likely to be acceptable for RF-X.

It really isn't a benchmark that would help in deciding if you need to upgrade your computer. You can get great results in heaven, 200-300fps and more, but only get 60-80 in RF-X. I've got EVGA Precision running and it tells me the memory usage on the video cards. Heaven uses 540mb of VRam, RF-X uses almost 6gb. Heaven has zero physics, and it's only rendering a relatively small area. The only thing that could mimic RealFlight X is.... Realflight X because no benchmark can stress a system like RF-X can. Perhaps they could produce a benchmark tool using realflight and a aircraft interacting with physics. It would be a great stand alone tool.

I can't find the option to show FPS in RF-X,... do you have to run a 3rd party software to see FPS in RF-X?

Open console

Hold down Control and Alt then press and release the tilde key (~)

Type

show_fps 1 and press enter

You can also type

show_fps 2 and press enter

The first only shows fps the second shows avg, min, max and fps. The display is in the top right corner of the window. You can open the console in game or menu.

Close console

Press the tilde key(~)

You need to do this every time you run RF-X it doesn't stick.
