RF-X system requirements

Please be aware that the system requirements listed on the RF-X box and on the Great Planes product pages are no joke!

The system requirements can be found here: http://www.realflight.com/products/r...irements#about

I'll reproduce them here:
Minimum Recommended System:

Some graphical features may be lowered or disabled.

Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 10. 64bit
Local administrator access required.
Quad-core processor
AMD FX-4300 or equivalent
DirectX 11 Mid-Range Video Card with 2 GB of video memory
GTX 460 or better
Integrated video cards not recommended
30 GB Hard Drive Space
DVD Drive

Optimal System:
I7-6700 Processor or equivalent
nVidia GTX 1060, Radeon RX 480, or equivalent
SSD Hard Drive
Here is how to interpret that information.

If your machine DOES NOT MEET the "MINIMUM Recommended System Requirements" you can expect that RF-X will NOT RUN AT ALL. It may refuse to run, it may exit with an error message, it may run badly.

If your machine's capabilities are BETWEEN the "Minimum Recommended System Requirements" and the "Optimal System" you should note the line which says "Some graphical features may be lowered or disabled." We promise RF-X will run on your system. If it doesn't run at all that is a bug. However, if it runs slowly, or if you have to run at a very low screen resolution, or if you have to disable all the graphical features or close every other program on your desktop, that is the expected behavior. We expect you to achieve 30fps or better, at 800x600 resolution, with the minimum recommended system configuration.

If your system meets the "Optimal System" configuration you should be able to run at HD desktop resolution (1280x720) at 60 fps.

If you have any questions about the capability of your system to run RF-X please contact RealFlight Support. They are here to help you with your decision.

RF-X is still new. While we have extensively tested the software on supported configurations it is not possible to test every configuration available to our customers. If you are experiencing a behavior that seems like a bug please report it to RealFlight Support.
