How long should a sim controller last?

Hi,

I just posted a similar question to this on the RF Basic forum, but this seeming to be the most popular forum I thought I might as well post it here too, in an abridged form, so I may get more comments.

Basically : reasonably, how long should a sim controller be expected to last under intensive use (at times this might be several hours a day)? (that is if, other than being subject to intensive use, it is well cared for)

Just one year seems awfully short to me...

Thanks

G.

Please don't double post. These forums are small enough, people will see your thread no matter where you put it.

Intensive use with transporting from place to place, if you are careful and know how
to wrap the chord without wearing out the connection, I'd say two years.
I'v had mine for all most that long, it's been dropped a couple of times, and it still
works. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

Two years, Brields? Why would you say that? Where's your data? Mine's lasted 5 years. What should I do?!?!

Why would you ask me to show data on how long my controller lasted, when that's
all I said?

I can understand you asking if I said
-"on average, controllers that have been put through intensive use have lasted up to
five years."

But that's NOT what I said.

Geeze, the old controllers broke left and right. There are to many variables to make any claim on how long would last!

Isn't it ironic that Brields just said in another thread that he can't predict the future? But Interlinks will last 2 years, according to him, in this thread.
