It's funny how sometimes a little thing makes a big difference. I wanted to go back and work on the canopy more but was always working on something else, but this evening I took some time and worked on it. It was too thin looking and needed to be filled out quite a bit so I did a bunch of work on it and I think the whole plane looks better now, the thin canopy just didn't look right on it. here's a picture for you to check out. I guess it's about time to finish the 1x1 mapping and create the collision mesh for RF-X now. Question. Is this color scheme okay or do I need to create another one. This is same color scheme I used on Yankee with all the stripes resized to fit the Yak 55m build. Man, there's about a million color schemes for the Yak. It's hard to see the difference in a picture but in RF it's pretty noticeable.

Damn, I am falling behind ... I have a T 28 scheme to finish up, should only take a couple hours, but the you put this out ... and I got a care package sent via email.

And, I have been smitten by this plane for years. So it will have my attention for the immediate future.

But, have no fear ... I can multitask

DDawg, It`s not like you`ve been commissioned to do CS`s and have deadlines too meet, Relax, and put them out at your leisure, don`t rush yourself, it takes the fun out of doing CS`s.

I was just wondering if I should create a new CS for this plane before I release it.

Looks just fine to me tech. I haven't been able to see it in the sim yet but from what I see here it looks just fine.

Thanks. Yeah it looks good in the sim too it's just not an official CS I seen on any Yak model just a CS I created for the Yankee when I modeled it.

Damn, does everyone have this problem of reading between the lines?

I was joking around ... I know techie gets it, and is pretty much on the same wavelength.

I don't feel obligations to do anything for anyone, unless I asked, or volunteered.

And, 99.9% of the time ... I do what I want, because I like doing it.

I decided to go ahead and create a new color scheme for the Yak before I released it so I thought I'd upload one more beta with the new color scheme and the final changes. The only thing left to do is the collision mesh and the final 1x1 mapping. I'll also upload the color scheme I've been using so they'll be a choice. The new color scheme is mostly from a discontinued GreatPlanes E-Performance Series Yak 55m but I didn't do the bottom of the wings the same, it has a checkerboard on the bottom and I usually like to have the same colors on the top and bottom of the wings. The GreatPlanes Yak also had a dashboard in it and I found a pretty decent picture of it so I added that too. I have to say this plane turned out a lot better than I thought it was going to, so I think it's pretty nice now.

Anyway here's another beta if you're interested.
