AsiaSRC,

He weigh's about 20 pounds, a pound or two above what his doc said he should be.
He's hoping that he's not to heavy so that he can be able to hopefully finally get to Fly! And he also said he will watch to see if Tony posts a video of the Hawk in flight. But personally, I think he just might be having second thoughts bout climbing into that Hawk of yours and taking a ride....
Just to much male macho pride to admit it!...

OK its official Leo has changed his mind!
Which makes my wife very happy....
He's decided that maybe he should just stick to maybe being able to just "control" an RC Aircraft rather then actually "flying" in an RC Aircraft and that that might be the more prudent thing do.....
He's still looking forward to seeing a video of the Hawk in flight If Tony post it. And also maybe a video of asiaSRC's Hawk in flight, once he finishes it and if he does take a video of his Hawk in flight and post it here.

A little help

Hello,

First of all, thanks to Nemo for all the plane he offers to us.

I'm deseperately trying to model my first plane and as I'm near a 100% beginner with 3d, modeling is a pain for me .

I was wondering if Nemo (or maybe anybody else, for example guys from KE ?) would agree to post a source of a project (i.e. the 3ds file), just to let us have a look inside the 3D model. This woudl be helpfull to analyse the plane modeling and how to handle all that 3d modifiers....

As a beginner, I've "lost" a lot of time reading modeling, texturing tutorials that were not so helpfull for my project...

A very simple plane would be maybe more helpfull rather than a complex one...

If anyone is ok, let me know...

So thanks everybody for your help,

Seb.

I am trying to make a 3d plane but have no clue how to start, I have downloaded blender and animator and I cant find a starting point??
Can you please tell me what software you used for the BAE hawk and also how you started your model.
Thanks a lot,
Ross

Hi Ross,

I used 3ds max to model the Hawk. I started with a 3-view drawing.

With regards to Blender here are a few tutorials which should get you started ...

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll have a look at those and have a go at making a plane.

Thanks,
Ross

The KE downloads have an almost complete Nexstar plane.

It would be nice however to have a fully fleshed out model to teach the rest of us how this is done.

I must say, I thought that command was pretty rude. Especially when there's already a BAe Hawk available, created by inky00. Search ...
