I was talking about that one last week. I guess add me to the "me too" list... (ACK! Sorry Inky!)

I won't have mine available for a while, so if anyone is getting their hands on an ARF or a kit version anytime soon, I'm sure lots of pictures, plans, weights and measures would be most helpful... start gathering data!

As I was looking at the QQ site and examining this plane as close as web images will allow, I wondered... is it just me, or does the QQ Python have a rounded nose and look more like a Yak fuselage rather than a squared Pitts fuse? Either way, oh well... I'd LOVE to get some sim time on this one before I take the real deal out to play!

Add me to the "I want this plane" list!

Case - The Pitts Python is a direct dirivative of the Pitts Model 12 (round fuse). Jim Kimball Enterprises now owns the rights to the design and modified the original into the the single seat Python version. http://www.aircraftstudiodesign.com/...thon/index.php

QQ modified the 44% bigairplanes.com kit to be more suitable for 3D/IMAC flying. Just a few of the changes were lowering the horiz. stab, rounded wing tips and (I think) a thinner airfoil section. Hopefully, QQ's kits will include all of the enhancements. So far, I haven't seen any pics of the models QQ is going to be coming out with.

I suppose you already have those 2 top and side view pics from the real Python site. I wish I had the QQ Python, I'd gets some good 3 views for the modeling and textures.

Guess we have to wait until Dev can maybe get some shots of it.

I found a CAD drawing of the Aerotech 100" Python. I don't know how acurate it is to the real thing but at least its a large pic.

Sorry if its too big for the forums.

Thanks for the contemporary history lesson Tim! I often get so caught up in flying, or flying sims, or building computers to fly sims that I forget how neat it can be to actually know a bit about the plane I'm flying!

Dev- Where are you getting your hands on a kit for Christmas? I've been in contact with QQ's Aircraft Company for about 6 weeks, and all I can get them to tell me is "Thanks for your advance order. The kits should be available for distribution sometime soon - First Quarter 2007 is our goal."
