KEError 16114

hi guys, Ive gotten RF8, download version to update my RF7.5
but, Im receive this message before install: KEErros 16114 : Failed Loading c:\Users\luis\Directx\dsetup.dll
and after:

KEError 16118: Unable to display the End-User...

I had already reinstall the DirextX on Win10, but nothing happened

someone had this problem?

Try re-installing Realflight from the main directory of a local drive or USB drive.

RealFlight 8 is different from all of its predecessors in this regard. We were able to do something that has been on the wishlist for quite some time and integrate the DirectX installation into the main RF installation. That means it's all or nothing. It won't let you install RF without the special DX9 helper .DLLs it requires. You are guaranteed to have them after RF8 finishes installing.

Luis, you must be doing something nonstandard with your installation attempt. It should not be looking for that file there. I suggest you contact RealFlight Support for assistance.

Having the same issue with the 16114, and16118 error when trying to install my digital download onto my windows 10 laptop. Tried the suggestions posted above, but still cant get it to install. Sent support a line, but thought I would ask here too. Installed and runs fine on my big gaming PC.

Hello

The installer is a bit bitchy. There must be no space in the folder where the "Realflight_8_Installer.exe" is.
Copy it to C: \ Realflight_8_Installer.exe and then the setup will run without problems.

This is true but in order to install it I had to create a account with admin rights without the space. Then use that account to install.

Oh I got it installed. Support suggested creating a new user account, then admin rights, install, and back to one user account and its flying now, thanks.

Exactly the same 2 error codes here too Luis.

I have down loaded the VR software from Tower Hobbies and have spent around 3 days, including today going round in circles. TH won't refund me my cash so I've opened a PayPal dispute to get it refunded. I have never had any problems uploading Realflight from Version 2 onwards, BUT they were all disk uploads.

Had an email from an RF person called H.Carman detailing a 'fix'. Never worked. Tried the idea here regarding putting it into the C drive..again didn't work. Totally going nowhere with this and the moral of this story is...never pay for a down load; get the disk and never buy from overseas.

Since then have updated my direct x files but still the same 2 error messages...

I am having the same issues trying to install on my surface book with windows 10. I tried all the recs in the thread with no success. anybody else have any other ideas?

I did not have any problems downloading/installing the download version of RF8. This is a great way to get this, and other software. Esp. if you do not have a dvd drive. Many new gaming laptops like my nice new Alienware 17 R4 do not have one.

I agree, my Samsung notebook 9 pro doesn't have a disc drive either so that's why I opted for the download version, I was actually happy to see it. I had no issues with the download, just a minor hiccup during installation.

i have a nvidia geforce gtx 950m but I feel like my frame rate bogs still. I just changed my physX setting to use the gtx card instead of intel. so i'll see if that does anything.
